Discussing PH

Post by alanmercieca »

This is a topic that I have started, so that we can discus PH levels.

I have made a PH chart, here it is.

Most coco coir has a PH between 6.0 - 6.5, very rarely it can be as acidic as PH 5, and it can also very rarely be a neutral PH of 7.

Now for the perlite, perlite is a neutral 7.

Different types of cuttings, require a different PH level range, so do different kinds of plants.

PH 4 - PH 7 does not stunt the growth of, nor does it sicken fig tree cuttings, that PH range is good for them. That same PH range is good for fig trees themselves. Although a PH of 4 is helpful for rooting cuttings.
