'A. C. Sweet' (it is also called A.C. Sweet, named after 'Arthur C. Combe')

The 'medium to large' bright pink to beautiful red skinned fruit, has pink to ruby red arils, arils that easily remove from the fruit, those arils contain small, and very soft tender seeds. It's delicious unusually sweet reddish-purple juice has a refreshing flavor, and it's fruit having an ability to hang for weeks without splitting, this makes for an outstanding cultivar.

Very cold hardy it can take periods below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. It was bred by the founder of 'Valley Nursery Garden Center', his name is 'Arthur C. Combe', who is from 'Beaver Dam, Arizona', it is one of the most popular cultivars in the southwest, and in Utah. It is classified as viable in USDA zone 7a through 10a.

It's fruit ripens in late autumn, earlier in hot climates.
